What You Need
Requirements for Teaching in Thailand
Bachelor's Degree
A Bachelor's degree in any field is the minimum requirement for most teaching positions in Thailand.
TEFL/TESOL Certificate
A 120-hour TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certificate is required for most ESL and English Program positions.
Native English Speaker
Most schools require native English speakers from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, NZ, Ireland, or South Africa.
Work Permit & Visa
Your employer will sponsor your Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit. Criminal background check required.
